Near death experience

The fateful Friday night, 16 September:

Nurhayati Hamid, age 17, had her first near death encounter. I was motherfucking crossing the road when a car just sped past me from the bend behind. Come on, common knowledge and etiquette known to all drivers to let pedestrians cross first and you jolly well stop your fucking vehicle before the line right? Oh my god clearly uncommon for the driver of that fucking hideous silver van/car shit then. One more step and I am 100% sure, absolutely sure that my feet would've been driven over and flattened by that stupid silver van that came from the bend behind as though it's been speeding down a freeway for 10 miles.

Couldn't react and I really stood there and just forgot about the flashing 'green man'. Remembered I was in the middle of a pedestrian crossing and dashed across at 4 seconds. Called my mum and swear/cry over the phone and she was so worried for me. After I reached home, she just told me that she imagined what would've happened if I met with an accident.

Mum said, "Papa will scold me, blame me for shifting to this house, for giving you so much freedom." And I was really damn touched because I realised that what's saddest is not when a child's parents pass away, but when the child passes away before the parents. :')

Imagine dad's reaction after he hears about this from mum in the morning. He'll definitely release his chain of profanities!! He might scold mum too.

But still, I LOVE MY DAD AND MUM SO MUCH!!! The cutest couple in the whole wide world, my old man and old woman. :D <3 Love them to bits!!!
