11 Dec 2011, "In The Making"

That night was sensational, unforgettable and just beautiful. Training for 9 months for just that 1.5 hour was really worthwhile. Woke up in the morning at 5 to wash up before making my way to Kallang theater to start our stage run at 7.30 AM. Fyi our show starts at 7.30 PM. Hahahahahaha WIN!!

Anyway, here're a few pictures of our rehearsal at our studio!

Mad chio right?! Credits to Aaron, the coolest photographer ever. Which photographer can b-boy, break AND take such awesome pictures?! Seriously I think he's the only person on earth who can make me look pretty candid.

The middle guy in the first picture is Joshua. Meheheheh hint hint ah!! ;)

So anyway, it was super crazy cramming everything in 1 day from morning: Stage run, props transition, formation check, then full run. The stage is mad big so we had alot alot of trouble running to our formations!! Check out the stage!

The lights are damn awesome hahahaha. Really got to salute control room for the lighting and backstage crew for the props transition.

We stopped dancing at 5 PM and had to go get our makeup and hair done by 6 PM. Afters, we gathered at the stage for a briefing sesh. Our 3 instructors, Khye, Yongzhi and Jasmine, our student choreographer, Steffie, and our managing director, Aaron made their individual speech.

First up was Jasmine, who started tearing in the midst of her speech and got me and many other girls teary eyed as well.

Next up was Khye, who was the most calm out of them all so we kinda cooled down a little.

And then, it was Steffie. Steffie was the one who really made us cry out loud hahaha.

Aaron and Yongzhi both kept saying how much they appreciate us for our time and effort.

And it was just so heartwarming really idk how else to describe it!! We had just enough time to touch up our makeup and hair before the doors opened at 7 PM.

Even before the doors opened, we were already all set standing back stage!! I drank Redbull and was swearing like shit keeping myself busy, talking to the backstage crew to distract myself from the seats that were slowly filling up. Paul was feeling nauseous, Yuxian and Eve kept marking steps. The waiting time backstage really felt like 4EVA!!! Serious shit never felt time pass that slowly before.

Then we saw one spotlight on and the mc came out from stage-left and we knew that it was gon start!!! My "Bimbo item" was the 2nd item in the first-half so I was really really nervous!! BUT, IT TURNED OUT AWESOME!!! No mistakes for once and I successfully made it in time to my formation!! When I was done and went backstage, Suay freaking hugged me and kept jumping and shouting in my face "OMG HAYATI YOUR BIMBO ITEM WAS AWESOME!!!!" which made me damn happy heheh damn proud. :> First time I did a perfect job for "Bimbo item"!!

During the intermission after the first-half, Khye, Yongzhi and Aaron all came backstage and I swear it was the first time I saw them so happy. Their eyes were real bright, just like fathers who were proud of their children. They were saying, "Guys good job good job! The feedback is really good keep up the good work come on!!". :)

My next item was the 2nd half "Fun item" and "Strength and Power". Fun item was super high because we were all singing along to the song! We were all in battle mode for "Strength and Power" man. The item really lives up to its name. For once, I felt like I extended my arms and legs to the fullest and amplified my movements and lines so I really felt great after the item. No regrets at all!! And then, Suay reacted the same way to my performance for "Strength and Power" just like how she did for my "Bimbo item". Really damn happy because it's like acknowledgement man.

After the very last item and we all went backstage, I just broke down and cried my heart out. I wasn't sad but I think I couldn't accept how everything ended so quickly. It's like we've trained so hard for so long just for that 1.5 hour and suddenly at the end of everything, all the fatigue, stress and happiness just came pouring out all at once. Hugged the other girls who were crying as well. Hai.

But, I got to hug Joshua too!! Mehhhhhhheheheh!!! Contentedgirl94 skips home~ Hahahaha no lah. Never skip home, skip offstage nia. Cheyyyy!! Hahahahaha. Packed up real quick and met up with Alik, Ben, Chunxian and Shuan offstage. So sweet of them to come support~ Gotta love 'em!!!

The last picture: The most beautiful picture, my absolute favourite. :))) This was after curtain call. We were saying our thanks to the control room so were pointing and waving to them. :)))
