People change
Having spent 6 months plus in Rp, I can say that I don't regret going to Rp. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be. The people there are really my kinda crowd: Party/town/scene-kids, English-speaking but occasionally chap funny Hokkien here and there but most importantly, they're mostly legal and have a life!
I guess the most important lesson I've learnt after leaving secondary school is that people really do change. Personally, I don't think Rp has changed me. I think it just gave me exposure to all sorts of stuff like smoking, sheesha, clubbing, drinking etc. And as sinful as all these may sound, I've learnt to accept them. Call me a hypocrite because in a way, I'm accepting them because I myself practiced them. But I don't practice them on a regular basis, so much so that it has become a part of my lifestyle. No!!
It's not that I've changed after going to Republic poly, as many has emphasised (So to say that Rp is negative influence which really gives me reason to reward you with a deserving punch). It's all of you who haven't changed and continued to stay in your Nanhua mindset. Still childish, immature and even more narrow-minded. Oh well, then in that aspect I can actually say that you guys have changed to become more narrow-minded.
P/S Don't blame Rp for anything. Everything I do, I do it because I chose to. I haven't been forced by anyone to do anything so rest assured, I am only willing. Get that in.
