9: The Singapore Zoo

Today's post just like yesterday's, will be about a trip too but this time, to The Singapore Zoo! That's right! Jerome, me, monthsary date, animals! Every 12th marks another month together so we always try our best to do something together on the actual date. Though it was my second visit to the zoo, it was really the first one of official remembrance since the first and only time I had gone to the zoo was when I was 5 and I really can't remember much from about up to 6 years old (just like my experience with plane rides as per my previous post about HK).

Though the day didn't start off at its best with me recovering from a hangover (which I still am and forever will be apologetic and guilty about), it got better upon purchasing of our entrance tickets because thanks to NS, we were entitled 20% discount! So for the one and only time I'll be saying this, HOORAH FOR NSF!!!

Another thing that I felt apologetic about was deciding on the tickets which included a tram ride because we totally didn't need a tram ride at all! Total waste of the additional $5!

Also, self-conscious me had actually SPECIALLY put on some concealer plus powder for a SPECIAL day out like this but sadly, my make-up attempt was DENIED (my inner Dota goddess speaking here) by the weather. Under the swelteringly hot sun, the layer of make-up over my face melted as gloriously as ice-cream under the sun. Though the weather being that extreme was actually a good thing because it got me sweating like a pig > detox > speedy recovery from hangover. HOORAH AGAIN! But still shame on me for drinking then drunking ok boo me.

But anyway, though we were in a bit of a rush no thanks to my waking up late and only got there at about 3+, we were able to get ourselves thoroughly walked through the entire place! No need for directories or maps even because it really was quite an organised round-about trail which took us about 2+ hours to finish. Freaking awesome or what we even still had plenty of time before they closed!

Though it felt like some 2+ hours of hiking, everything was so fun and interesting especially The Frozen Tundra zone omg all hail the zone of air-con, igloo and cute animals!!! Hehehe.
