Turn away

Sometimes I look back and think, to have lasted 2 years with someone I met from a club and had a one-night stand on top of it being my virginity, was it a miracle or a mistake? I'm quite sure that what I'm missing is actually the memories rather than the person but if so, will I ever stop missing the memories and eventually come to forget them?  Tbh I really don't mind forgetting. I've already gotten rid of all traces whether hard or soft copy, so right now I just really really want to empty out my head as well.
